From 2006 to 2011, personal income in Sedgwick County grew by 7.59 percent, which isn’t great relative to the rest of the country.
On Numbers, a blog affiliated with the Wichita Business Journal, reports that Sedgwick County ranks 399th for its five-year personal income growth rate out of the 455 U.S. counties with a total personal income of more than $5 billion.
Despite this record, area economic development officials don’t see need for reform.
