From KAKE Television:
A controversy is looming over a vote by the Wichita City Council. In particular, Mayor Carl Brewer. It involves Brewer voting to forgive nearly 3/4 of a million dollars in sales tax debt to a local developer.
The issue involves the developers of the Ambassador Hotel. Two years ago, Wichita voters rejected a measure to provide sales tax incentives to the developer, Key Construction. Brewer was asked to recuse himself from last week’s vote because of his friendship with Key Construction executives.
