Debate and forensic students to be showcased

This Friday (August 15, 2014) the Wichita Pachyderm Club presents Rodney Wren, Sr., Debate and Forensic Coach at Wichita Collegiate School, and Peggy O’Donnell, Debate and Forensic Coach at Sunrise Christian Academy.

Of this meeting, Pachyderm Club vice-president John Todd says: “Debate and Forensic students from Wichita Collegiate and Sunrise Christian Academy will be featured presenters ‘Showcasing Local Student Talent’ at Friday’s luncheon meeting. I believe these young people will demonstrate how ‘Critical Thinking Skills’ are cultivated and developed in students through the various debate and forensic programs offered at these two fine schools as well as other area schools. We believe Friday’s program will be a real treat in showcasing some very talented young people in our community!”

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend Wichita Pachyderm Club meetings. Meetings are held almost every Friday in the Wichita Petroleum Club on the top floor of the Bank of America Building at 100 N. Broadway. The program starts at noon, and it is suggested that guests arrive by 11:45 am in order to get their lunch before the program starts. The meeting costs $12, which includes a delicious buffet lunch and beverage. For more information click on Wichita Pachyderm Club.
